4. Carolina Panthers

After weeks of speculation over what the Carolina Panthers would do at quarterback for 2020, the team recently announced their plans to give it another go with Cam Newton due to how impressive the former top pick has looked while rehabbing his foot.

At one point in 2019, Newton’s future in Carolina seemed to be over since Kyle Allen was impressing enough under center before it all went downhill during the final two months of regular-season action.

Some Panthers fans may be upset over the idea of the team giving Newton another shot in 2020, but also with all of the excitement surrounding Matt Rhule taking over as the new head coach, this seems like best move to help Carolina return to the level of being a top contender again.

Now that quarterback is taken care of, up next for the Panthers is deciding whether it would be worth bring on extra help at the wide receiver position.

If the draft were to take place today, there’s a good chance that Carolina would be using the No. 7 pick on the defensive side of the football, especially with Luke Kuechly making the decision to retire this offseason.

However, the Panthers could be in a position where the potential surrounding Ruggs is too good to pass on, so it will be interesting to see whether this becomes a possibility or not early on in the first round when Carolina is officially on the clock.
