35. Pick Analysis. EDGE. Alabama. 29. player. Scouting Report. Terrell Lewis

Offensive tackle was a consideration here, as was trading down, for the Titans. Jack Conklin looks like he might be gone in free agency, meaning they need a starting right tackle. But the value wasn’t there as they stay at No. 29 with no real options to move down. So, instead, they address the need for depth at edge rusher with Terrell Lewis. Injuries plagued him at Alabama but his time on the field showed a high-upside player that has star potential as an explosive pass-rusher.

K.J. Hamler. player. Pick Analysis. Penn State. 30. 49. Scouting Report. WR

The Packers offense stalled on numerous occasions throughout the 2019 season, particularly with the passing game. Davante Adams is an undeniable stud but there are no consistent contributors around him. Green Bay needs a jolt of life in the receiving corps, which is where K.J. Hamler can come into the fold.

Small in stature, Hamler is not short on speed and quickness. Whether it’s getting separation at all levels of the field or breaking away from tacklers when he has the ball in his hands, the Penn State product adds an element to the Packers offense that they don’t currently have.

IOL. Michigan. player. Pick Analysis. 31. 42. Scouting Report. Cesar Ruiz

For as impressive as the 49ers offense was with Kyle Shanahan running the show, especially in the run game, they could upgrade pretty easily over Laken Tomlinson and Mike Person. That’s what they choose to do with the No. 31 pick, which they have to make count as they have extremely limited capital in the 2020 draft. Cesar Ruiz is a versatile with his ability to move and, though he’s a natural center, he should be a great fit at guard for San Francisco.

Pick Analysis. CB. Alabama. Trevon Diggs. Scouting Report. 32. player. 124

I’m higher on Trevon Diggs than the consensus, or so it seems. But he has all the physical tools and mentality to be a press-man corner who is also capable of dropping into zone effectively if asked due to his length and athleticism. The Chiefs need that type of player in the secondary. Though the defense made strides from 2018 to 2019, there are still clear areas where they can improve and adding a player like Diggs in the first round would help them do just that.
