Pick 48. WR. 872. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Round 2. Jalen Reagor. player

Adding Jedrick Wills gives the New York Jets a much better offensive line, but as was mentioned with that selection, they skipped on adding a wide receiver which is also a great need for this team.

Fortunately for them, this class is pretty stacked at the position and they can wait until the second round to add a potential starter at the spot.

That’s exactly what they do here as they choose TCU wideout Jalen Reagor at No. 48 overall. Entering this offseason, there were a lot of questions about Reagor as some said he had bad hands.

He went into the NFL Combine looking to prove that wrong and did well for himself in workouts.

He also had a huge drop in production in his final season but that had more to do with the quarterback play for the team than anything else. Even with those concerns, this kid is a borderline first-round talent that can win with his speed and quick movements.

Reagor doesn’t possess the ideal height for a receiver (5-foot-11, 206-pounds) but he more than makes up for it with his ability after the catch. That could lead to some big plays for the Jets if they are able to get him and Sam Darnold on the same page. Should they be able to get their timing tight, this could be fun to watch.
