Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Boise State. Ezra Cleveland. 27. player. 53. OT

It was tempting to try and move up for the Cleveland Browns to add another splashy player but the fact is, they already have plenty of those. This is a roster that has Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham, Jr., Jarvis Landry, Denzel Ward, Nick Chubb, Olivier Vernon, and Myles Garrett. That’s already an insane amount of star power and they then added Austin Hooper in free agency as well as Karl Joseph.

With all that being said, they have the makings of a really tough team to beat. They just need to add some of the guys to do the dirty work as role players. Every good team has always had plenty of those and that’s where Cleveland came up short last season and could still look to improve in 2020.

That’s why they took this deal to drop down as adding another top-60 pick, as well as a mid-rounder, was too good to pass up. And with their pick in the opening round, they land the exact type of player they need in Ezra Cleveland.

Other than having a perfect name for them, Cleveland is a lunch pail type of lineman. He’s not flashy and he doesn’t make a lot of noise. He just simply shows up to work and does his job. He’s also a guy who can start as a rookie and will be part of a line that looks much better with him on one edge and Jack Conklin — another big free-agent addition — on the other. They just have to hope now that Kevin Stefanski is the right coach to get it done.
