Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. EDGE. player. Boise State. Curtis Weaver. 28. 26

Last season, the Baltimore Ravens looked like the team to beat. They started out 2-2, but then went on a sensational run after their embarrassing loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 4. From that point on, they reeled off 12-straight wins, heading into the playoffs with a bye week.

They were the No. 1 overall seed and had the MVP of the league in Lamar Jackson. Everything was going great but then they lost to the Tennessee Titans in the Divisional Round. It was a disheartening loss for the No. 1 offense in the NFL but this team is young and on the right track. They also should be applauded for completely remaking themselves as they went from a defensive powerhouse to an offensive threat in the blink of an eye.

While that’s impressive on its own, they stayed strong on defense as well, giving up less than 18 points per game according to NFL.com. And that was even after losing Za’Darius Smith and C.J. Mosley in free agency. Now, they look to be even better on that side by adding a new edge rusher in Boise State’s Curtis Weaver.

Weaver was an immediate impact player, recording 11 sacks as a freshman and finishing with 34 in his three-year career. He’s also experienced in the stand-up pass-rushing position Baltimore will utilize, which just makes this match seem even more perfect.
