player. 50. Jeffrey Okudah. 3. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. Ohio State

The Detroit Lions might not have as huge of a need at cornerback after signing Desmond Trufant but a talent like Jeffrey Okudah is going to be hard for them to pass up. In recent seasons, Ohio State has been able to produce a ton of talented defensive backs and it’s hard not to think Okudah could end up being the best one of the bunch.

And for head coach Matt Patricia, he would be more than happy to shut down half the field with Okudah, who is on his way to becoming an elite player very fast according to Jonah Tuls of The Draft Network.

"Explosive boundary corner with elite mirror and match quickness in Man, projecting as a high-upside difference maker in both press and off alignments. Took his playmaking ability to another level in 2019 & could become an elite NFL CB very quickly."

In addition to his great work on the field, Okudah showed he has great confidence in himself. He was asked about his sloppy technique by a reporter at the Combine and was quick to offer a rebuttal. He wasn’t rude, but he corrected him to say he was not sloppy at all and asked him to watch the tape again. There’s no doubt that this kid is going to be a star in the league for a long time.
