9. Cheyenne O’Grady, TE, Arkansas

Building around Ryan Tannehill is a necessity. One way to ensure he continues his success and grows in their offense is to draft a tight end. The tight end class isn’t strong in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Nevertheless, the Titans must get a pass-catcher who can dominate the seam. Taking a tight end early may not be an option but there is a player with a great skill-set who could fall to them on Day 3: Cheyenne O’Grady.

The former Arkansas Razorback has major red flags thanks to multiple suspensions served throughout his career before ultimately leaving the team in 2019. However, his profile on the field still makes him an enticing prospect overall.

For the Titans, they’ll get a potential steal with O’Grady’s ability to plug and play. He’s a natural receiver with soft hands and solid speed to exploit linebackers, He’s a tenacious player after the catch, proving he’s tough to bring down.

At the NFL Combine, he ran a 4.8-second 40-yard dash, which doesn’t help his draft stock. However, he has length, athleticism, and timing making him a potentially dangerous red-zone target. Moreover, despite not having elite strength on his 6-4, 253-pound frame, he’s a willing and capable run blocker.

There’s no reason the Titans shouldn’t take a tight end in the 2020 NFL Draft. If they don’t take O’Grady, Dayton’s Adam Trautman is an excellent option.
