Buffalo Bills land potential star cornerback in 7-round 2020 mock draft

At pick No. 54 overall, the Bills land a potential starting cornerback in Jaylon Johnson out of Utah. He isn’t getting the same love as some of the top-tier prospects, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have a high ceiling.

In fact, Jonah Tuls of The Draft Network thinks his ceiling is high enough for him to become a lockdown cornerback in the pros, which would be a great thing to have in the same secondary as Tre’Davious White.
"Sudden athlete with high ceiling as a lockdown CB. Sticky on the hip pocket and doesn’t lack confidence or aggressiveness. Average size/length hurts his ability to contest every catch point but he is scheme flexible & best in press man on the boundary."
Johnson is a physical corner that checks in at 6-foot-0 and 193-pounds. He had 102 tackles and seven picks in his three seasons with Utah, including two pick-sixes.
Even before adding Johnson, the Bills already boast a dominant defense. They do, however, have a couple of holes to fill.
This might be one of the biggest for them as they lost Kevin Johnson in free agency. Johnson never lived up to the first-round status he came into the league with, but after being cut by Houston, he looked much more confident in Buffalo.
Jaylon Johnson should be able to replace him and keep their secondary strong.
