The Denver Broncos hold the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and these should be their top five targets with their first-round selection.

The Denver Broncos have been busy this offseason, beginning with the trade for cornerback A.J. Bouye. As they’ve continued, they were able to win a trade with the Titans as they acquired defensive tackle Jurrell Casey. Meanwhile, they landed offensive guard Graham Glasgow and later running back Melvin Gordon in free agency.

These moves are, without question, reasons for Broncos fans to be excited going into the upcoming season. But there are still some things that need to be addressed, namely via the 2020 NFL Draft.

Denver’s biggest need is a legitimate No. 2 wide receiver who can take the off the defense. Beyond that, the Broncos still have a glaring need at left tackle as former first-round pick Garett Bolles has not yet lived up to his potential. As for the defense, an inside linebacker and depth on the defensive line remain areas of focus.

There are playmakers at every position that should be available when the Broncos come up on the clock at No. 15 in the 2020 NFL Draft. So who should their top five targets be? Let’s take a look.

5. Javon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina

Particularly in his senior year at South Carolina, Javon Kinlaw proved to be an animal on the defensive line and a nightmare for interior offensive linemen. His stats don’t necessarily jump off the page but the young man jumps off the film with his disruptiveness. Kinlaw puts pressure on opposing quarterbacks with superb effectiveness, affecting every play even if he isn’t the one getting the sack or tackle.

On film, there are several examples of Kinlaw blowing up a run play by simply dominating his matchup in the trenches and closing the preferred gap by moving his man into it. While that may be true, though, Kinlaw’s overall play strength is less than desired at times as he can get pushed around at times.

Having said that, his explosive presence on the interior makes him a threat to make plays whenever he’s on the field, a player the Broncos could pair with Casey and thrive in the front seven.
