Isn’t it crazy to think how quickly things can change in a year?

Around this time last year, there was plenty of excitement surrounding the Jacksonville Jaguars finally finding a quarterback to build the offense around after convincing Nick Foles to come on board.

One year later, Foles is no longer part of the picture following a trade that sent the former Super Bowl MVP to the Chicago Bears, and the Jaguars will be moving forward with Gardner Minshew under center.

Time will tell when it comes to seeing whether this was the right decision for Jacksonville, but the team in general appears to be heading towards another year of rebuilding with all of the players the Jaguars decided to move on from this offseason.

While Minshew certainly deserves some credit for the spark provided on offense at times throughout his rookie campaign in 2019, he will be dealing with a whole new level of pressure during his sophomore NFL season as the full-time starter.

Jacksonville’s offense is certainly loaded with plenty of young talent for Minshew to work with, but as far as having what it takes to be a contender in the AFC is concerned, this team still appears to be a work in progress.
