While most of the focus surrounding the Cincinnati Bengals at the moment happens to be whether the team will select Joe Burrow with the top overall pick in April’s draft, the team did make an expected move last week by using the franchise tag on A.J. Green.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Despite Green previously making it clear that he would prefer to go elsewhere, the Bengals want to make sure Burrow has the necessary weapons to work with in the passing game if he does, in fact, come on board to become the new quarterback.

This may not be Green’s preference since this most likely means Cincinnati is heading towards another year of rebuilding, but unless the Bengals decide to trade him at some point over the next few months, he may not have much of a choice.

Rightfully so, there may be some concerns over how Green will look in 2020 after his ankle injury turned out to be more serious last season than originally expected, but at least when healthy, the wideout has proven to be one of the best in the NFL.

But of course, even if Green returns to his normal ways in the passing game, there’s simply too much uncertainty surrounding the Bengals at this point to have them higher than No. 32 on this list.
