7. Bashaud Breeland, CB

The book on cornerback Bashaud Breeland with the Kansas City Chiefs has been the book on him for the majority of his career. While he was a valuable asset for a defense that just needed a big upgrade in talent in the secondary, he remains a talented player that has never fully realized his physical tools into being a surefire No. 1 cornerback in the NFL. Even still, his playmaking and tools make him enticing.

Signing Pierre Desir and re-signing Brian Poole is nice for the New York Jets secondary but, at the same time, that group doesn’t exactly turn heads. Adding another player of Breeland’s caliber to that mix would give the Gang Green defense more options in the secondary. And after the performance of that group last season, they need all the upside options they can get.

Where he’ll sign: New York Jets

8. Prince Amukamara, CB

Another free agency period, another offseason where it takes a while for Prince Amukamara to get signed. But the funny thing about that is the veteran cornerback, while not a superstar, has done nothing but perform well at every stop, even if he’s just been continuously signing short-term deals. So it only stands to reason that he’ll end up doing the same for the 2020 campaign.

While Tre’Davious White has emerged as one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL with the Bills, the secondary has a question mark after signing Josh Norman this offseason and with Levi Wallace’s limitations. For my money, Amukamara would be a much more reliable veteran to add on the outside opposite of White and allow Norman and Wallace to be rotational players rather than guys Buffalo is forced to rely on heavily.

Where he’ll sign: Buffalo Bills
