Pick Analysis. Pick 11. Jerry Jeudy. Scouting Report. Round 1. WR. player. 829

This offseason, the New York Jets saw their top receiver leave in free agency as Robby Anderson signed with the Carolina Panthers. It’s arguable whether or not Anderson is a legitimate No. 1 wideout in the NFL, but he did possess game-changing speed which led to him recording 3,059 yards in 207 receptions over the past four seasons in New York.

With him gone, the Jets landed an underrated replacement in Breshad Perriman. While Perriman hasn’t lived up to his first-round status, he did successfully revive his career with the Cleveland Browns in 2018.

He parlayed his success in the short time with the Browns into a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and managed to record 645 yards on 36 receptions with six touchdowns.

As of now, Perriman is the most accomplished receiver in New York. He will line up as a starter on the outside and Jamison Crowder will be their slot receiver — which isn’t terrible. Still, they need a legitimate No. 1 threat which is what they get here with Jerry Jeudy.

A great route-runner out of Alabama, Jeudy averaged more than 17 yards per catch in his three seasons with the Crimson Tide. He’s as smooth of a route runner as you will find and can beat defenses on all three levels of the field.

Darnold has made some big strides but Jeudy is the kind of player he needs in order to reach the top of his potenital.
