2020 NFL Mock Draft: Cowboys land edge, Raiders get standout receiver

With the third overall pick, the Detroit Lions add a play-maker on the defensive line Auburn’s Derrick Brown. It was a tough call between him and Jeffrey Okudah, the Ohio State cornerback, but the defensive-minded Matt Patricia has shown he appreciates building from the defensive line out.
Brown feels like a can’t miss prospect, who has elite size and power who should be an instant starter and can be an eventual All-Pro according to Lance Zierlein of NFL.com.
"Defensive tackle with rare combination of size and disruptive traits who frequently bludgeoned inferior competition across from him. Brown’s snap quickness allows him to take muddy running lanes by re-setting the line of scrimmage. He has the ability to power into gaps, but he really shines when he drops his anchor to stall double-teams or punch, press and prey on runners as a two-gapper. Brown’s upright rush style means he might be more of a pressure rusher than a sack-man, but he should keep improving as a rusher with more dedication to the craft. He could become a high-impact starter early in his career with an All-Pro ceiling and good starter floor."
Patricia enters an important season and can really use some success. Building a line that can make life hard on opposing offenses is a good way to try and finds that.
