Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Ohio State. 2. player. 58. EDGE. Chase Young

There’s some speculation that the Washington Redskins could be looking to move on from Dwayne Haskins, the young quarterback they just took out of Ohio State last season. The first-round pick came in with just one full season of starting experience with the Buckeyes and the team knew he was raw.

Haskins started out slow but did begin to show flashes near the end of the season. Even so, there are those who believe Tua Tagovailoa is a better option and that the team should consider making the move — which is similar to what the Cardinals did last season when they gave up on Josh Rosen to take Kyler Murray at No. 1.

This time though, Washington decides to stick with the kid they took the prior season as they instead take Chase Young, adding yet another young Ohio State star to their roster. Young boasts excellent size at 6-5 and 264 pounds which often led to him looking like a giant om the field.

He’s also incredibly athletic, able to win with both speed and power. He racked up 30.5 sacks in his three seasons, with 16.5 coming in his junior campaign — which also included 21 tackles for a loss. Washington can pair him with 2019 first-round pick Montez Sweat and suddenly they’ll have one of the best pass-rushing duos in the NFL.
