Atlanta Falcons: 5 Biggest needs to address in 2020 NFL Draft
5. Offensive Line
Although the offensive line isn’t a huge need in the immediate future for the Atlanta Falcons, it’s a position that the organization could target to add to later on in the NFL Draft this week.
The Falcons could use one of their final picks in the draft to bring in someone to help secure the interior of their offensive line, adding depth that unit while slowly bringing in a young prospect into that role for the future.

There are a few spots within the front line that Atlanta could address to help protect quarterback Matt Ryan to allow him to utilize the Falcons’ potent passing attack, as well as helping in opening up holes for newly signed running back Todd Gurley out of the backfield.
The first position is the guard spot, most notably on the left side of the offensive line. If Atlanta finds a player later on in the draft that it views as a player that could come in and immediately compete for a starting role or someone who could develop into a solid player at that position, we could see the Falcons do just that and draft an offensive lineman.
Another position within the offensive line that will eventually need to be addressed is the center spot, which is currently occupied by center Alex Mack. Mack isn’t getting any younger, as he will be turning 35 years old this season and is entering the final year of his contract. That could persuade the Falcons into taking a flier on a player in the draft and molding him into eventually taking over for Mack if he moves on after the 2020 campaign.
Offensive line is a group that has and will continue to be an important component to any offensive unit in the NFL, and especially with Atlanta’s high-powered offensive group, the Falcons will need to make sure they are set among the front line to try and finally reach the postseason this year.
