As time continues to pass, it seems that Logan Ryan may end up chasing more money to play for teams such as the Detroit Lions and New York Jets instead of returning to Tennessee in hopes of another playoff run. Jon Robinson would be smart to draft a cornerback in the prime rounds of the 2020 NFL Draft, regardless of the outcome on the Ryan front.

Jeff Gladney fits the mold of what the Titans have liked to bring in at cornerback over the years. Gladney’s an extremely competitive player from the start of the play until the end of the whistle whose also disruptive at the catch point with receivers.

On top of that Gladney can play both man and zone, which is the coverage versatility Robinson covets in his draft selections. Tennessee has shown interest in the TCU product during this pre-draft process (per Aaron Wilson).

Riding on the same ideology with the cornerback position, the Tennessee Titans should still elect to go with an edge player early in this year’s draft, regardless of what a veteran free agent decides to do (Jadeveon Clowney). Teams should always be wary of selecting players with an injury history, but Terrell Lewis may very well be worth the risk despite his extensive list of injuries.

Separate injuries caused the talented linebacker to miss the majority of the 2017 season and then the entire next season in 2018. If he hadn’t missed all that time, Terrell Lewis probably wouldn’t be available on the draft board past the first round. According to ESPN‘s Turron Davenport, Lewis has met with both Mike Vrabel and Jon Robinson. If Lewis checks out medically, he could be a great fit under Vrabel.
