This year’s wide receiver class is loaded, which likely affords the Titans an opportunity to grab the speed weapon this receiving corp has been missing in the middle rounds of this draft. K.J. Hamler was not only a fast deep threat for the Nittany Lions but was also a big play waiting to happen after the catch.

Jon Robinson has tried to find that sort of ‘bargain-bin’ deep threat with players like Taywan Taylor, Cameron Batson and most recently Kalif Raymond. Hamler is a better all-around receiver than any of those players listed. Although the team has a solid staple of pass-catchers already in place with A.J. Brown, Adam Humphries and Corey Davis, Hamler gives this offense a dynamic it desperately needs.

When asked what he prefers in a back-up running back, Mike Vrabel said he prefers a player who can play on all three downs as well as be a factor in the return game. Local product Antonio Gibson can do exactly that. It’s critical the Titans add some young, cheap talent to the backfield in this draft and they would be fortunate to land Gibson in the late rounds.

Gibson lined up at both running back and wide receiver last season, proving to be effective in both roles for Memphis. He not only 11.2 yards per carrying, but also racked up 735 yards receiving. The do-it-all back would give the Tennessee Titans a versatile weapon in the backfield that they haven’t had since DeMarco Murray.
