With the 2020 NFL Draft officially in the books, it’s time to look back on every team’s top pick from the big event.
Isn’t it crazy to think about how the 2020 NFL Draft is already officially over and done after months of anticipation? As always, football fans are left with plenty to talk about following seven rounds of exciting action, no matter which team they happen to cheer for.
From the Cincinnati Bengals finding a new quarterback to build the franchise around as expected in Joe Burrow to the Washington Redskins arguably landing the top defensive player from this year’s class in Chase Young, there are plenty of reasons to be excited about this year’s draft class.
Even certain teams such as the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles managed to find their way in the conversation by pulling off two of the biggest draft surprises when they decided to select quarterbacks earlier than expected.
While the Packers came out of nowhere trading up to No. 26 in the first round to select Utah State’s Jordan Love, no one could have ever predicted the Eagles would use their No. 53 pick in the second round on Jalen Hurts out of Oklahoma.
Of course, the good news for Green Bay and Philadelphia is as surprising as these picks were, they luckily weren’t their best selections of the entire draft.
Players like Burrow and Young are easy to make cases for being the top picks from their respected new teams, but what about the rest of the league?
Since there is still plenty to discuss from the draft, let’s take a closer look at all 32 teams, and discuss which player happened to be their top pick, whether it was from the first round or later on.
