2020 NFL Draft: Every team’s best pick – Joe Burrow, Chase Young and who else?
By Dan Parzych
Clearly, the Baltimore Ravens were in desperate need of help at the linebacker position entering the draft and certainly came up big towards the end of the first round when Patrick Queen was surprisingly available.
LSU saw plenty of their former star players get selected early on in the draft, and while some believed that Queen deserved to go in Round 2, the Ravens made the right choice since he would have been long gone by the next time they were on the clock.
With that being said, while it is certainly tempting to hand the award to Queen for being Baltimore’s best pick, the fact they were able to get J.K. Dobbins this late in the second round should be viewed as an amazing surprise gift.
First off, Mark Ingram shouldn’t be worried about losing his job as the top running back in the Ravens’ offense since the addition of Dobbins should be more so viewed as a compliment in the backfield.
Baltimore was already expected to have a top offense led by Lamar Jackson once again during the 2020 season, and the unit is about to get even stronger now that Dobbins is coming on board following an incredible year at Ohio State that resulted in more than 2,000 rushing yards.
