Wide Receiver: Mike Evans and Chris Godwin

I think we can all assume that one of the reasons that Brady came to Tampa Bay is the presence of the arguably the best wide receiver tandem in the league: Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. The duo has the capability to take over any, as they displayed constantly last season.

We all know how good Evans is. He has started his career with six-straight 1,000+ yard seasons, and last season was his fourth campaign with at least eight touchdown catches. He’s explosive, big, strong and can outmuscle pretty much every single cornerback in the league. He’s a true number one receiver, and has been worthy of the title of Licht’s first-ever draft pick as the Bucs GM.

Many projected Godwin to be the Bucs’ breakout player last season. Well, he delivered on that prediction and more. The former Penn State standout notched his first 1,000-yard campaign last year, finishing third in the league with 1,333 yards and tied for fourth with nine touchdowns.

He led the team in receptions (86) and targets (121) and would have notched more if not for an end of season injury. His ability to line up all over the formation makes the Bucs’ offense even more dangerous.
