10 NFL head coaches under the most pressure in 2020
By Dan Parzych
4. Dan Quinn, Atlanta Falcons
After back-to-back 7-9 finishes, will the Atlanta Falcons regret giving Dan Quinn one final chance to prove himself worthy of the head coaching job in 2020?
From a talent perspective, any coach would love to have an offense like Quinn has to work with since Matt Ryan if fortunate enough to have one of the league’s most dangerous receivers to work with in Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley.
So after watching Atlanta win just one of their first eight games in 2019, it was easy to see why Quinn spent most of the year on the hot seat since the Falcons arguably missed out on another golden opportunity to be a top contender within the NFC.
At least to help Quinn save his job, Atlanta was able to finish the regular season on a hot note by winning six of their final eight games, leaving plenty of football fans to wonder how different things could have been if the team didn’t get off to such a poor start.
But if Quinn thinks another year of missing out on the playoffs will result in another chance to keep his job beyond the 2020 season, the Falcons head coach could be in for a major wake-up call later on.
