With the 2020 NFL season approaching, here are three Atlanta Falcons players who will need to step up throughout the course of the year.

Even though the 2020 NFL season isn’t here just yet, the Atlanta Falcons already have a big year ahead of them whenever the regular season schedule actually kicks off.

Atlanta has a very interesting season ahead of them this year, coming into the 2020 campaign with the task of trying to end a two-year playoff-less drought while trying to compete in a suddenly very tough NFC South division alongside the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers.

The offseason has been somewhat busy for the Falcons, with a decent amount of new faces set to take over the squad on both sides of the ball during the new year.

Most notably this offseason, Atlanta parted ways with key offensive players such as tight end Austin Hooper and running back Devonta Freeman, but added the likes of tight end Hayden Hurst to take over for Hooper and running back Todd Gurley to take over the ground game for Freeman.

Along with those two key additions, among others, the Falcons brought in a total of 26 players either via the 2020 NFL Draft or in the undrafted free agency process.

The main core group of the team will look similar to what we have seen in past years in Atlanta as it embarks on a tough regular-season schedule, but there are plenty of players that will have the chance to come in and make impacts in various positions on the depth chart in 2020.

As the season continues to get closer to an eventual start, let’s take a look at three players that are going to have to step up and perform well during the season for the Falcons.
