Week 7: vs. Buccaneers (Sunday Night Football)

Tom Brady joining Tampa Bay is probably the biggest storyline of the 2020 offseason, meaning all eyes will be on the Buccaneers. There’s a viable chance that they have some stumbles early but, by Week 7, this elite offense should be clicking. Much like with the Chiefs — even after the bye — the Raiders won’t be able to match it.

Prediction: Loss

Week 8: at Browns

Having lost three consecutive games now, Carr and the Raiders head to Cleveland in Week 8 in what should be a fascinating matchup. Josh Jacobs should be able to take advantage of the Browns linebackers but Odell Beckham Jr. and co. could hurt the Vegas secondary. In the end, it’s advantage to the home team in this one.

Prediction: Loss

Week 9: at Chargers

Depending on the day, my feelings about the Los Angeles Chargers have changed. Their roster is fantastic but their reliance on Tyrod Taylor puts such a defined ceiling on their success that it’s worrisome. Without a real home-field advantage, even in a new stadium, the Bolts will get got as the Raiders end their four-game skid.

Prediction: Win

Week 10: vs. Broncos

Everywhere you look, it seems that people are touting Drew Lock and the Denver Broncos after they went super heavy on offense in the 2020 draft and made improvements throughout the roster. However, I’m still not sold on the young quarterback fully and the Raiders will hold serve at home to get the victory.

Prediction: Win

Week 11: vs. Chiefs (Sunday Night Football)

The venue doesn’t matter when the Raiders play the Chiefs. Kansas City should be the benchmark for whether or not the silver and black are finally back and, frankly, it’s hard to see that happening this season. Maybe the Chiefs keep it within double-digits but it still won’t be all that close.

Prediction: Loss

Week 12: at Falcons

Atlanta is a team that has a ton of believers coming into the 2020 season. After the way they finished last year, it’s not hard to see why. If Matt Ryan and Julio Jones can carry the team and the defense takes a step forward, they could be a Wild Card team. However, I still see the Falcons being inconsistent and dropping this one feels like it fits that bill.

Prediction: Win
