Las Vegas Raiders record prediction: Picks for every game in 2020
Week 13: at Jets
Staying on the East Coast, the Raiders go north to face the Jets in Week 13. New York made some strong improvements on the offensive line this offseason. However, their defense and skill position players remain a question mark, one that Vegas will come into the Big Apple and take advantage of.
Prediction: Win
Week 14: vs. Colts
Make no mistake, the Colts aren’t a perfect team. Their secondary leaves a lot to be desired, in my opinion, and the wide receiver group could use more help. However, Philip Rivers arriving and the run game getting bolstered leads me to believe they can play with anyone. That should lead to them getting the win in Las Vegas.
Prediction: Loss
Week 15: vs. Chargers (Thursday Night Football)
It might seem crazy to say that the Raiders could sweep the Chargers in the 2020 season but I don’t see these teams as that far apart. Derek Carr is limited but so too is Tyrod Taylor. And Las Vegas is playing at home on Thursday Night Football, meaning they win on a short week to 7-7 on the season.
Prediction: Win
Week 16: vs. Dolphins
Though Tua Tagovailoa should be starting for Miami by Week 16 and though the Dolphins have improved across the board, this team still has a way to go before they compete at a high level. The Raiders have a bit to go too but they will win at home in this game with playoff hopes on the line.
Prediction: Win
Week 17: at Broncos
Again, I’m dubious of what the Broncos will be on the whole this year as Lock hasn’t sold me with five NFL starts. Having said that, playing in Denver at this point with all the weapons they have will give them the advantage over the Raiders, especially in an AFC West matchup.
Prediction: Loss
Raiders 2020 Record Prediction: 8-8
Going 8-8 in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL would have to be considered a win for the Las Vegas Raiders. It will put their postseason hopes in the air and will likely need some help to get into the playoffs. Regardless, it’ll be another step forward for the Raiders, which is all that you can ask for in a long-term rebuild.
