3. Joe Mixon

Despite some of the previous controversy leading up to the draft in 2017, Joe Mixon has turned out to be a reliable options for the Bengals in the backfield over the last three seasons, and will certainly feel extra motivated in 2020 due to it being the final year of his contract.

In comparison to his production, Cincinnati knows they are getting an absolute steal with Mixon at the moment since the running back has combined for 2,888 yards from scrimmage and 17 total touchdowns over the last two seasons.

But also, the Bengals are smart enough to realize that Mixon is due for a hefty pay raise sooner rather than later, and while it will be tempting to keep the Oklahoma product around, this is another situation in which there are no guarantees.

As crazy as it sounds, Cincinnati could always end up deciding to move on from Mixon before the start of the regular season to earn an extra draft pick compared to down the road if the Bengals were to possibly lose the running back to free agency.

Tampa Bay’s current situation at running back isn’t exactly terrible with Ronald Jones II and Ke’Shawn Vaughn, but Mixon would easily be able to move into the starting role if the Bengals were to consider a trade.
