3. Andre Dillard

Around this time last year, expectations were high for Andre Dillard with the offensive line, as the Eagles seemed confident they would see the rookie make an impact right away, which unfortunately was far from the case.

Like most young players in the league, Philadelphia realizes how foolish it would be to give up on Dillard after only one season, but also are smart enough to know that if things fail to work out in 2020, they could be forced to scramble for a resolution.

At the time of the draft in 2019, it was somewhat surprising to see the Eagles go with Dillard in the first round (No. 22) not just because he wasn’t considered a top lineman, but there were better options to fill other needs at the time for Philadelphia.

With Jason Peters no longer part of the picture, the Eagles would love nothing more than to see Dillard elevate his game to new levels during his sophomore campaign, but also Philadelphia should explore all potential options for 2020.

The chances of the Eagles giving up on Dillard after only one season doesn’t seem to make much sense, but if they did lose confidence and wanted to explore other options, the Panthers would have nothing to lose in considering the idea.
