2. Dallas Goedert

One can only imagine how difficult it was for the Panthers to move on from Greg Olsen this offseason after everything the veteran did over the years for the team.

And while Carolina seems confident that Ian Thomas and Chris Manhertz have what it takes to help fill the void, there are no guarantees this will be the case on offense.

In other words, if the Panthers wanted to play it safe, they would bring on extra help as insurance to the tight end position, which is where Dallas Goedert could come into play.

Even though Zach Ertz is rightfully considered the top tight end in Philadelphia’s offense, Goedert has proven to be a great addition during his first two NFL seasons with the team, and will only continue to get better if all goes well.

Knowing Philadelphia, the preference would be to keep their dynamic duo at tight end around as long as possible, but also if Carolina were to make an offer that was too good to turn down, maybe the Eagles would be more open to a deal.

Philadelphia may prefer to keep Goedert around due to the fact that he is only scratching the surface of his true potential, but the Eagles could always explore potential replacements down the road.
