Jamal Adams trade rumors: 5 Best landing spots if safety is dealt
5. Kansas City Chiefs
The reigning Super Bowl champions have an embarrassment of riches on the offensive side of the ball around Patrick Mahomes. Not only is there Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Sammy Watkins but they also used their first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft on running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who should be a phenomenal fit in Andy Reid’s offense.

You can’t question the Chiefs’ team-building given what they accomplished last season. However, many believed that they should’ve used that first-round pick spent on Edwards-Helaire to select a defensive player. In particular, the Kansas City secondary could use some reliable players around Tyrann Mathieu and young Juan Thornhill, especially with an offseason that has thrown their cornerback room into turmoil.
Jamal Adams obviously wouldn’t help the cornerback room for the champs but there’s no question that he would upgrade the defense as a whole. Pairing him with the Honey Badger would almost be unfair on the back end given the movability and the versatility of both players. They could bring so many different looks that would give offensive coordinators fits.
Furthermore, the Chiefs are exactly the type of team ready to make a move on Adams. They aren’t trying to get into Super Bowl contention — they’re trying to stay there. So giving up draft capital to keep that window open would make a ton of sense if Kansas City could work out the money to make it happen.
