1. Chidobe Awuzie

Without question, cornerback was a top position in need of improvement for the Raiders entering the 2020 offseason, and while the team deserves some credit for making a few key moves, there is still room for improvement.

From signing Prince Amukamara in free agency to using a first-round pick on Damon Arnette, Las Vegas should be in much better position at cornerback compared to a year ago when looking at all the struggles that were on display throughout 2019.

With this in mind, cornerback might seem like the last position the Raiders need to consider in a potential trade, but if the Cowboys were to make Chidobe Awuzie available, the team would be foolish to turn an opportunity like this down.

If the previous three years is any indication of what the future holds for the former Colorado star, Awuzie is only going to get better with experience.

The fact that Awuzie has 31 starts over the previous two seasons shows just how much the Cowboys value him on the defensive side of the football, but also he is entering the final year of his contract at an absolute steal of a price.

Dallas will most likely do their best to eventually reward Awuzie with the kind of contract he clearly deserves, but since there is always the possibility of his asking price being too high, maybe Las Vegas would catch a break to take advantage of the situation.

A scenario like this will sound crazy to most football fans, but keep in mind the Cowboys still have to pay Prescott and have a few other key players already locked up in hefty contracts, meaning the money to pay Awuzie down the road may not be there.

So if the Cowboys were to decide they would be better off getting a draft pick or player in return before Awuzie potentially hits free agency, why wouldn’t they at least consider a potential trade?
