6. Trey Quinn
The first thing we have to do is decide how many wide receivers will make the final roster. We’re going to go with six for the time being. Now let’s get onto the list. Starting off is someone that will likely divide opinions. Trey Quinn was seen as a major asset not that long ago, but now he’s fighting for a spot.

There are a few main reasons he makes the cut though. First of all, Antonio Gibson likely won’t have a real position. If anything, he’s going to be listed as a running back. That frees up a wide receiver slot.
Second, Cody Latimer probably would have made the roster. His situation makes that much more difficult though. Finally, Isaiah Wright will likely be put on the practice squad. He’s eligible so it might be smart for the Redskins to throw him there to give themselves more options.
That leaves Quinn to battle it out with a few others, including Darvin Kidsey (who could steal this spot as well).
Quinn has had some issues, but he’s also shown flashes. His numbers would have looked a lot better last year if the quarterbacks hit him when he got open for a few deep shots too. Maybe that would make this more of a lock if they connected with him.
He’s also great depth for the slot receiver spot. It doesn’t hurt to have a good backup there and not have to switch someone random to that position if an injury occurs. Quinn is still just 24 years old. He’s shown some flashes and it wouldn’t really surprise anyone if he does enough to impress new head coach Ron Rivera.
