NFC East: Dallas Cowboys

Before the draft, there were a lot of jokes going around about Jerry Jones being alone for the draft and how no one could stop him from going crazy. The joke then turned on the rest of the league as Jones sat comfortably in his quarter-billion-dollar yacht and watched his team obliterate the draft.

Jones clearly wasn’t making the call into the league office as he was shown watching the television every time they were on the clock, but his excitement was on full display as they added CeeDee Lamb, Trevon Diggs, Neville Gallimore, Reggie Robinson, Tyler Biadasz and Bradlee Anae. It was crazy how much value they got in every round and it just added to what was already a strong offseason.

Dallas lost Byron Jones, which was a tough pill to swallow but they made out well with the money it would have taken to keep him. With that, the Cowboys signed Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe to the defensive line and Ha Ha Clinton-Dix at safety.

They also signed Cameron Erving, which was an underrated move as they replaced Cam Fleming, who was their previous swing tackle. Erving could also play center if necessary, but drafting Biadasz gives them a solid option to replace Travis Frederick who retired following the 2019 season.

This is all in addition to them finally moving on from Jason Garrett, who was clearly not up to the task of turning the Cowboys into contenders. In his place is Mike McCarthy, who also added an impressive defensive coordinator in Mike Nolan. Overall, this was a great offseason in Big D.
