1. Is 2020 the year the postseason-less streak ends?

The biggest objective and question mark for the Falcons in 2020 is if they will be able to improve on the last few years and be able to finally return to the postseason this season.

Putting together a pair of disappointing campaigns in the last few years, Atlanta will look to bounce back this year and improve above the .500 mark for the first time since 2017. There are a number of things the Falcons will have to do on both sides of the ball to be able to accomplish that feat.

The last two seasons have resulted in Atlanta finishing with below-.500 records of 7-9 overall, a result that took place most recently in 2019 after the Falcons started the regular season off 1-7 while finishing the year strong with four straight wins and winners in six of the final eight contests.

But the result of another below-average season was the fact that Atlanta missed taking part in the playoffs for a second straight year, although it was able to finish second in the NFC South standings during the 2019 campaign.

In 2020, one of the biggest goals for the Falcons will be to try and rise up in a tough NFC and division to end their postseason-less straight after making two deep playoff runs in both of the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

With the injection of some nice young prospects on both sides of the ball this offseason and the addition of a few new key pieces on both offense and defense in Atlanta, the Falcons will try and ignite the late-season success they experiences in 2019 to try and get out of the gate running in 2020.

With hopes high once again this year, it will be interesting to see if Atlanta can shed a pair of 7-9 seasons like it’s had the last two years and if it can ultimately continue to play beyond the regular season for the first time since 2017.
