Dallas Cowboys: Does loading up offense lead Dak and the Boys to postseason?

Dak Prescott‘s future with the Cowboys has been a leading story all offseason. And this season will be very telling to if he deserves top quarterback money. Travis Frederick suddenly retiring leaves an All-Pro sized gap in the offensive line. Robert Quinn and Byron Jones leaving via free agency leave their defense worse than it was in 2019.

Drafting receiver CeeDee Lamb to beef up their offensive weapons leaves zero room for excuses if they can’t beat out the Eagles. Prescott is going to have to win games for the Cowboys to prove he’s the future of the organization.

Denver Broncos: Can Lock live up to the hype and lead way to the playoffs?

Denver turned the offense over to 2019 second-round pick Drew Lock late in his rookie season. He responded by throwing seven touchdowns to just three interceptions and leading the Broncos to a 4-1 record. Now they’ve spent the offseason loading up around him, drafting wide receiver Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler while also trading for Pro Bowlers Jurrell Casey and A.J. Bouye. There is now a ton of hope in the Mile High City and it all rides on the right arm of Lock.

Detroit Lions: Will a healthy Stafford return to top form?

People forget that the Lions got off to a solid 2-0-1 start and were a combined eight points from starting 5-0 last season. They nearly defeated the Chiefs at home and lost to the Packers on Monday Night Football due to a missed call. Matthew Stafford had 19 touchdowns to just five interceptions and was averaging over 300 passing yards per game at the time of his injury. But they lost nine games without him.

Stafford has weapons and, though Darius Slay is gone from the defense, Desmond Trufant and Jeff Okudah can be adequate replacements. Don’t count this team out in the NFC.

Green Bay Packers: Do lack of weapons, Jordan Love hold them back?

The Packers shocked everyone by trading up to select Utah State quarterback Jordan Love in the first round. And Green Bay then went the rest of the draft without drafting a wide receiver, their biggest position of need.

While the Packers are the defending division champions and arguably the best team on paper in the NFC North, their lack of weapons, the noise and shadow of their first-round quarterback looming, a few losses could lead to a snowball effect in Green Bay.
