Carolina Panthers: How will year one of the Matt Rhule project play out?

Matt Rhule and the Panthers went all-in on defense in the NFL Draft to try and combat a division that features two, maybe three, Hall-of-Fame quarterbacks surrounded by big weapons. Derrick Brown and Yetur Gross-Matos will help with that as Carolina’s top two selections.

Offensively, we’ll see how Teddy Bridgewater fares in his first season as a starter since 2015 in Minnesota, especially with Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore and newcomer Robby Anderson. Still, it will be fascinating to see how it all plays out in the 2020 season.

Chicago Bears: Will 2020 be Trubisky’s final year in Chicago?

It’s clear to see that this will be a make-or-miss year for Mitchell Trubisky. The Bears declined his fifth-year option and traded for Super Bowl LII MVP Nick Foles, heavily implying that they will move on from the former No. 2 overall pick if he doesn’t show vast improvement.

Will he last the season, or will Foles be given the reins? And if Foles does get the nod, can he take another team on a magic carpet ride through the playoffs?

Cincinnati Bengals: How will Burrow fair in his rookie season?

Second-year head coach Zac Taylor has his guy going forward. After a decade of Andy Dalton, Heisman Trophy winner Joe Burrow is the new man under center for the Bengals. Not only did the Bengals get a new field general but also another receiver in Tee Higgins from Clemson to go along with A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd to create a possibly elite trio. In a tough AFC North, will Burrow impress in his rookie year or will he look lost with growing pains? Odds are we’ll see a mixed bag.

Cleveland Browns: Is 2020 finally the year they break through?

This has to be the year, right? Cleveland seems to have finally found a competent head coach in Kevin Stefanski while also address the major weakness on the offensive line, signing Jack Conklin and drafting Jedrick Wills to be their bookend tackles. Myles Garrett returns from his suspension to lead a talented young defense along with two stud cornerback prospects, Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams.

If Baker Mayfield doesn’t show vast improvement and the Browns miss the playoffs, his hourglass may run out of sand.
