Packers get their stud wide receiver to pair with Adams in this mock draft.

This is the type of pick that many people expected the Packers to make in the 2020 draft but that they failed to secure. Fans were clamoring for the organization to select one of the elite pass-catchers in the class as their first-round pick and they didn’t. If there’s any solace in that, it’s that the 2021 class of wide receivers might somehow be even better. And Rondale Moore is a stud in that conversation.

A diminutive player at just 5-9, Moore busted onto the scene as a freshman as one of the most productive pass-catchers in the country. While he was injured for the majority of the 2019 season, his skill is still undeniable. As pointed out by Kyle Crabbs of The Draft Network, his run-after-catch ability could make him an NFL star:

"RAC King! Moore runs like a running back with the ball in his hands — he’s a human joystick built so low to the ground that he’ll effortlessly absorb body blows and continue his progress up the field. Impatient tacklers will get left grasping air and he’s got zero to sixty acceleration that comes in the blink of an eye. Gadget player floor with an explosive receiving threat ceiling, Moore offers the short area quickness, small surface area and explosiveness to slip press coverage at the line of scrimmage and attack the defense on all three levels, including (but not limited to) the screen game, crossing patterns, deep developing routes and whip routes in the shallows."

Moore’s size will be something used to knock him and it makes sense as to why. He has to prove he’s able to withstand consistent contact in a violent game. At the same time, though, you can’t hit what you can’t touch and Moore’s game fits that mold. He would open up Green Bay’s offense in a truly exciting way, providing and explosive complement to Adams.
