4. LB Justin March could be cut by the Dallas Cowboys
Over the past two seasons, Justin March (formerly Justin March-Lillard) has been a familiar face for Cowboys fans. The undrafted linebacker from the 2015 class spent his first two years in Kansas City before eventually ending up with the Cowboys midway through the 2017 campaign and then spending the last two full seasons with the franchise as well.

Furthermore, March has played in all 16 games for Dallas over the past two seasons as well. But as the franchise has made some strong improvements at the position over recent years, landing the likes of Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch to join veteran Sean Lee and also signing another veteran in Joe Thomas to the fray, March has struggled to see the field in a meaningful capacity on defense.
March has played just 52 snaps in the past two seasons combined on defense. Yes, he’s been a meaningful contributor on special teams, playing over 50 percent of the team’s snaps in that facet of the game over the past two seasons. And while there is focus on the special teams group with this new coaching staff, is that enough to keep the 27-year-old around?
For me, probably not. The Cowboys signed Francis Bernard out of Fresno State as an undrafted free agent, a player who could not only replace March on special teams but perhaps be an improvement over what he provided. More importantly, Bernard offers more upside as a defender, the same of which could be said of Luke Gifford as well. As such, March’s time in Dallas could be coming to a close.
