Aaron Rodgers 2021 landing spots: Raiders top possible suitors
By Dustin Baker
4. Indianapolis Colts
This season, the Colts are trying out the aging veteran experiment. The team turned away from 27-year-old Jacoby Brissett in favor of a robust-family man, Philip Rivers. This stemmed from the Los Angeles Chargers divorce of Rivers about six months ago. The Chargers are turning in the eventual direction of rookie quarterback Justin Herbert, so it was time for Rivers to skedaddle.

Oddsmakers are high on the marriage of Rivers and the Colts projecting the team at nine wins. But much of this potential success depends on Rivers’ ability to play at a high level. Even with a dynamic arsenal of offensive weapons, Philip Rivers finished the 2019 season with his worst passer rating in 12 years.
There are no assurances this Rivers-Colts consortium will work.
And if it does not, the Colts will have a jaw-dropping $101 million in cap space next offseason. Maybe a man that plays just six hours away will get a phone call from Colts general manager Chirs Ballard?
This is sensical because the Colts would still have money to throw at additional free agent weapons due to the colossal amount of cap space the team is slated to possess. And, Rodgers could finish out his career in a cozy indoor venue at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
