2. Pittsburgh Steelers

Winners gravitate towards winners, and in Steelers skipper Mike Tomlin and Aaron Rodgers–you have two distinguished winners.

The 2020 season will be a pivotal one for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger spent most of last season injured but is on track for a full comeback, we think. If Roethlisberger is good-to-go, the Steelers could theoretically be set for the next three to four years. Signal-callers like Drew Brees and Tom Brady are proving minute-by-minute that quarterbacks can thrive into their 40s, especially with the enhanced rules protecting players.

But if the Steelers get a diminished version of Roethlisberger, then it’s probably time for Pittsburgh to go shopping. The current quarterback room consists of irritant Mason Rudolph and QB3 Devlin Hodges. Neither of these two men is the wave of the future in the Steel City.

As for finances, the Steelers would have around $50 million to spend with a Roethlisberger-less roster. This would do the trick in working a Rogers addition to the team. And then the front office would examine its options at offensive skill positions because its current state of affairs looks similar to Green Bay talent-wise, not bad but not great.

The selling point is that Rodgers would be near-guaranteed to have a defense because that’s habitually Steeler football. With Rodgers at the helm of the offense, the merger of esteemed and winning reputations of he and the Steelers organization would be complete.
