Raiders pass on Trey Lance but Steelers don’t in this 2021 NFL Draft mock.

9. Las Vegas Raiders: Dylan Moses, LB, Alabama

Another team that could potentially be in the quarterback market, my guess is that Marcus Mariota’s arrival in Las Vegas is only going to muddle that conversation further. Subsequently, they look to the defense and the future at linebacker by taking Dylan Moses instead. Despite missing all of last year with an ACL tear, Moses would’ve been a first-rounder in 2020 had he come out. His skill set and leadership could be another shot in the arm for the Raiders defense.

10. Jacksonville Jaguars (via LAR): Marvin Wilson, IDL, Florida State

The Jalen Ramsey trade continues to pay dividends for the Jaguars as they have two top-10 picks in this 2021 NFL Draft mock draft. After getting a new quarterback, there were many avenues to look at but I went with continuing to rebuild an elite defense with the selection of Marvin Wilson. A combination of physical power, athleticism and extremely high motor allows Wilson to be a constant disruptor on the interior, which the Jags could need.

11. Pittsburgh Steelers: Trey Lance, QB, North Dakota State

Pittsburgh pulls the trigger where they need to by taking the third top-tier quarterback in the 2021 draft class. Ben Roethlisberger’s long-term future is in question at his age and the options behind him showed they aren’t the answers to usher in a new era. Trey Lance could be. Though still developing after just one year starting at North Dakota State, Lance totaled 42 touchdowns (28 passing, 14 rushing) with no interceptions last year. The talent as a dual-threat quarterback is obvious and too good to pass up if you’re in the Steelers’ situation.

12. Denver Broncos: Alex Leatherwood, OT, Alabama

Denver got some rough news for the 2020 season with Ju’Wuan James opting out. Offensive line was already going to be a questionable area for this team and that’s only furthered by that decision. Thus, they take Alex Leatherwood to try and shore that up. With tackle-guard experience and versatility at Alabama, Denver gets a player who can slot in at multiple spots and help let Drew Lock and the new-look offense cook.
