Dallas Cowboys score Quincy Roche in 7-round 2021 NFL Mock Draft

The edge gets secured for the Dallas Cowboys in Round 1
When Dallas was on the clock at No. 17 in the 2020 NFL Draft, they had to have some temptation to select LSU EDGE K’Lavon Chaisson. Had they done so, they would have been leaving themselves open to criticism for passing on CeeDee Lamb — and it could have been a replaying of when they passed on Randy Moss for Greg Ellis.

Still, it would have been somewhat understandable since they really did need a defensive end to line up opposite DeMarcus Lawrence. Even with that being the case, they made the right call in taking CeeDee Lamb since he was the top player on the board — and that wasn’t just according to the Cowboys as Lamb was nearly unanimously the best player left for them to take.
As great as it will be for their offense to add his explosion alongside Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, they did leave themselves thin on the edge. Bradlee Anae could develop into a real player but chances are we won’t know after his rookie season if the fifth-round pick is the answer.
For that reason, we grad a pass rusher here in this mock as the top pick for Dallas is Quincy Roche who will be playing in Miami this season after transferring from Temple. In three seasons with the Owls, Roche had 26 sacks with 13 of those coming in 2018.
An overly explosive pass-rusher, Roche can ensure he’s a first-round pick by continuing his great play in the ACC following his dominance in the American Conference.
