DraftKings NFL bargains, Week 1 Main Slate: Quarterbacks

Carson Wentz (PHI at WAS, $6,300) carries a new arsenal of weapons, including a healthy DeSean Jackson (more on him below) into a matchup against Washington Football Team defense. Not coincidentally, that group is the lowest-priced DST available on the DraftKings NFL DFS slate this week.

Phillip Rivers (IND at JAX, $6,000) probably won’t appear on this list often, but he draws a once-ferocious defense that’s now toothless, thanks to a bumbling front office. Rivers could start a trend of so-so and past-their-prime quarterbacks who become automatic starts whenever they face the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The underrated and overlooked Teddy Bridgewater (CAR vs. LV, $5,900) isn’t being taken seriously by many fantasy football experts, but a big game against a suspect Raiders defense may soon give them pause. Bridgewater has no shortage of weapons to work with, and the added benefit of playing in an offense that has no NFL game film for opponents to study.

Across the field, Derek Carr (LV at CAR, $5,900) has a chip on his shoulder and looks to silence his naysayers with a cache of new weapons, starring rookie wide receivers Henry Ruggs III and Bryan Edwards, and the dependable Hunter Renfrow. It’s a bit risky to recommend any of these receivers since they’ll be vying for targets with tight end Darren Waller in a game script that favors the running game, but Carr himself is a great cash game option who should outproduce his price point.
