Minnesota Vikings: Studs and duds from Week 1 vs. Packers
Stud: Dalvin Cook
Maybe the only stud for the Vikings during Sunday’s season opener in Minneapolis was Minnesota running back Dalvin Cook. In past seasons, the Vikings have been committed to the run and focusing on running offense through its star running back in Cook. In Week 1 against Green Bay, that was once again the case as he was basically the only thing working for Minnesota.

In the game and a day after he signed his new contract with the purple and gold, Cook opened his fourth NFL season by recording 12 carries for 50 yards and two touchdowns.
Moving forward, the Vikings will continue to look to Cook and will have to get him more touches on the ground to bounce back and get back on the right track early this season.
Dud: Kirk Cousins
With high hopes riding both into this season and in this big NFC North showdown, Cousins didn’t really do much and didn’t have much time to do anything while leading the Vikings offense on the field.
In the game, the quarterback finished with 19 completions on 25 passing attempts, throwing for 259 yards, two touchdowns and one interception.
Minnesota managed to get into the endzone a few times both on the ground and in the passing game, but the Vikings will need more out of Cousins and the passing attack moving forward here in 2020.
