Minnesota Vikings: 3 Biggest concerns from Week 1 loss to Green Bay
3. Sloppy tackling
The first thing that was apparent really from the first time the Vikings took the field on Sunday afternoon in Minneapolis was just how sloppy they were on the defensive side of the ball.

Most notably, something as small as sloppy tackling and missed tackles throughout the entire game but especially in the first quarter allowed Aaron Rodgers and company to remain on the field perhaps longer than they should have to extend drives during the game.
In Green Bay’s opening drive, Minnesota had two missed tackles and just look out of sorts from the get-go, which might have been due to the amount of youth on the defensive side and the lack of preseason games to get into a groove of things.
Regardless, that was one of the biggest concerns that popped up right away in the first quarter and didn’t get much better for the final three quarters of the loss.
The Vikings aren’t the only team that will have somewhat of an adjustment period to the regular season with it being the first official action together with no preseason in 2020. But that’s an area Minnesota needs to clean up both in Week 2 and beyond moving forward.
