Fantasy Football: 5 Replacements for Saquon Barkley on your roster
5. Dion Lewis, New York Giants
ESPN Rostered Percentage: 0.9
What better place to start in fantasy football than with the player who, as of now, is likely going to replace Barkley on the Giants? That player is, of course, veteran running back Dion Lewis, who New York signed in free agency this offseason. And he got plenty of work on Sunday after the starter exited the game in the second quarter.

Lewis entered the game and got 14 touches against Chicago, even in a game in which the Giants were trailing early and trying to catch up. The veteran was not that effective on the ground, getting 10 carries but going for only 20 yards, though he did score a touchdown. However, what was quite promising was that Lewis got work in the passing game, catching four balls for 36 yards.
It’s worth noting that Wayne Gallman has been injured, which made Lewis the only healthy running back with experience on the Giants’ roster once Barkley went down. Still, the share of touches he got was quite promising after the offseason addition.
There is the chance that New York could hit the free-agent or trade market to try and replace Barkley for the rest of the season. But as things stand right now, Lewis is the guy, which makes him a viable pickup in fantasy football if you now have a big need.
