It was the first win for Tom Brady as the quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but he still didn’t look as comfortable as we are used to seeing. He finished with 217 yards with a touchdown and an interception but he did have a great rapport with Mike Evans, who had 104 yards and a touchdown on seven receptions.

As good as he was, it was the running game that made the difference for the Bucs. Former Jacksonville Jaguars first-round pick Leonard Fournette had a breakout game, running for 103 yards and two touchdowns on just two carries. After their loss in Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints, it was good to not only get their first win in the Brady era, but to also score a victory over an NFC South opponent.

For the defense, there were some highs and lows as Teddy Bridgewater had 367 yards passing but he threw two picks and was sacked five times with two of those coming courtesy of Ndamukong Suh and one was from rookie safety Antoine Winfield, Jr.

Next week, they have a road game against the Denver Broncos, a team that’s had some struggles to start the season. Tampa Bay knows there’s still room to improve but this weekend was a step in the right direction.
