New England Patriots: Studs and duds from Week 3 vs. Raiders
Stud: Rex Burkhead
Rex Burkhead did a little bit of everything both in the passing game and on the ground for the Patriots in the contest on Sunday afternoon in Foxborough, leading the charge in both areas of the offense to lead New England.

The running back finished the game with six carries for 49 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, while adding seven catches for 49 yards and one touchdown through the air.
The Patriots can hurt you from wherever on any given week, and this week it was Burkhead who stepped up to the challenge and led New England out of the backfield.
Dud: Run defense
Overall, the Patriots did a relatively decent job in holding the Las Vegas offense in check for a majority of the game, but New England did allow the Raiders to get some big yardage plays in the running game which extended some drives for Las Vegas.
In the game, Las Vegas finished with a total of 126 yards rushing on 22 carries, although they were held out of the endzone out of the backfield.
This wasn’t a huge negative for New England, but something it still needs to work on moving forward and limiting the big plays to opposing offenses.
