Stud: D.K. Metcalf, WR

The Dolphins didn’t have Bryon Jones on Sunday, which meant either D.K. Metcalf or Tyler Lockett was due for a big performance. Lockett had his worst game of the season, catching only two passes for 39 yards. Meanwhile, Metcalf posted his second consecutive 100-yard performance. The second-year Ole Miss product is averaging 100 receiving yards per game, and he’s on track to make the Pro Bowl.

Metcalf gouged Miami for 106 yards. David Moore also had a big day, making three catches for 95 yards and a touchdown. Seattle didn’t have a deep receiver corps entering this season, but it hasn’t mattered. Wilson is playing out of his mind, and Metcalf is thriving alongside his future Hall of Fame quarterback.

If Metcalf matches his production for the rest of the season, he’ll finish 2020 with 64 receptions, 12 touchdowns, and over 1,600 yards. Kenny Golladay led the NFL with 11 receiving touchdowns last season, and only Michael Thomas had more than 1,600 receiving yards. This is potentially an All-Pro season for Metcalf.

Dud: Pass rush

Fitzpatrick only took five sacks during his first three games, but he only faced one strong defensive front. Against an offensive line featuring two rookies, including one at left tackle, and a center entering only his second year as a full-time starter, the Seahawks had an opportunity to finally get after an opposing quarterback. Instead, Seattle only recorded one sack and six quarterback hits.

The Seahawks have seven total sacks this year, but three of those came in Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons. The defense needs Jamal Adams back desperately because he’s the only consistent pass rusher on this entire unit.
