The Atlanta Falcons are searching for their first win as they face the Panthers in Week 5.

The Atlanta Falcons come into Week 5 of the 2020 NFL season this weekend looking to finally get the first win of the new year. Atlanta is one of four teams still looking to get win No. 1 of the regular season along with the New York Giants, New York Jets and Houston Texans.

This weekend back home in Atlanta, the Falcons hope to get off of that winless list when they play host to an NFC South opponent, the Carolina Panthers, on Sunday afternoon at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Coming into the contest, Atlanta holds a record of 0-4 overall following a 30-16 loss on Monday Night Football in Week 4 at the hands of the Green Bay Packers. In that game, the Falcons fell behind early and couldn’t get enough rolling on offense to complete a comeback in the second half against a tough team in Green Bay on its home field.

On the other sideline this weekend, Atlanta will take on a Carolina team that comes into the game at 2-2 on the year. Most recently, the Panthers took down the Arizona Cardinals 31-21 at home in Carolina, which was their second straight win of the year.

In that contest, Carolina got out to an early 14-0 lead in the game and ended up fending off Arizona long enough to pull out the 10-point victory at home to move back to the .500 mark.

Before Atlanta looks to finally get into the win column and Carolina aims to extend its winning streak to three in a row, let’s dive into three bold predictions that will occur for the Falcons in Week 5.
