2. Defense will not allow a touchdown

The Buccaneers defense took it on the chin on Sunday when they were constantly burned on blitz plays by Justin Herbert. Look for the defense to get home against the Bears. Nick Foles is not as hard to get to as Herbert proved to be on Sunday and you can definitely expect a better focus by the secondary in this game.

The Chicago offense ranks in the bottom half of the league with 343 yards per game while the Tampa Bay defense has been one of the best in the league and just giving up 312 yards per game. The Buccaneers defense is second in the league in run yards giving up per game and will force Foles to have to win the game. Unlike Herbert, he won’t be up for the task.

The Buccaneers already have eight takeaways through four games and they should add to this against a Bears team that already has thrown five interceptions.

Look for them to shut down the Bears rushing attack and then pressure Foles into mistakes and poor play. He has already contributed two interceptions to the team’s total and he did not get anything going for the team’s offense Sunday until the game was already out of reach.
